Нянавісьць / Hate
На працы звольнілі шмат народу, ў тым ліку самага разумнага праграміста й чалавека, што яго й мяне ў гэтую кампанію прывёў. Ненавіджу ангельскую фірму, што нас купіла.
Увечары на зялёнай галінцы метро змог сесьці толькі на сёмы цягнік. Ненавіджу 'Ред Сокс' і іх фанатаў, якія толькі й ведаюць, што крычаць 'Янкіз сак!'
Мы сёньня не паехалі на выспы бостанскае гавані. Ненавіджу ўласнае распізьдзяйства.

Yesterday a lot of people at my job were fired, including the smartest programmer and the guy who brought him and me in there. I hate the British company that bought us.
At night on the Green T line I could only get in in the seventh train - all the ones before it were packed. I hate Red Sox and it's fans who don't do anything but shout the idiotic uniting slogan 'Yankees suck!'
Today we didn't go to Boston Harbor Islands. I hate my own fucked-up laziness.

No, my job is safe (until at least the end of the year). But the morale in the office is pretty low.

Грубо говоря, to lay off - уволить по сокращению штатов, to fire - уволить по любой другой причине.

Попрошу ссылку на непроизвольный словарь/энциклопедию с объяснением "точного словоупотребления".
Пока что вижу вот запись с lay off в заголовке и fire, fired, firings в тегах и комментариях

Именно что непроизвольный - у него нет произвольного ограничения объема текста, как это было у бумажных словарей, что позволяет давать более точные определения. По существу различий в значении и употреблении слов претензии есть?

Разница между laid of and fired не то слово "большая".
1 - человек получает пособие по безработице
2 - человек получает дулю без масла и проблему с референс.

Теперь чувствуешь разницу?

low morale = nobody works. У меня такое было в последний раз в 2003. Расслабься и получай удовольствие. При нынешнем рынке труда это не проблема, а подарок судьбы.

It's time to start looking for a new job. With the current market consitions you'll get a nice boost in salary. Not to mention the benefits of not having to work in a low-morale environment.
Stop doing shit at work and start looking for a new one.
